Why do so many tennis players fail to live a Pain Free Life?
In my 35 years of playing and coaching I have seen countless players be sidelined with injuries due to a poor fitness routine.
Here are the 4 Big Injuries I have seen take so many players out of the game they love for LIFE...

Shoulder Pain
Tennis can be a brutal on the shoulders. The repetition of hitting serve after serve can have a devastatingly harmful effect.
The 2 main causes of shoulder injury for tennis players are poor technique and lack of proper maintenance exercises.
Just in the last couple of days so many of you have shared your horror stories of how shoulder pain has affected your life.
"At only 5ft 4in in height, my attempts at achieving power has led to a rotator cuff tear a few years ago that required subsequent surgery and almost ended my tennis. Fortunately, I have recovered but at only about 80 percent of my original strength, and I still stuggle with my serve but I fear re-injuring my shoulder so I am not sure how to improve that aspect of my game."
Lily Lo

Lower Back Injuries
31 Million Americans experience lower back pain.
The pounding of the tennis court can be so jarring on the back.
I know myself what it feels like to be in so much pain I cannot tie my own shoes.
The key is to keep moving, keep stretching, and keep strengthening. Simply ignoring the problem or babying your back is not the solution to a healthy back.
"My biggest challenge is to stabilize my lower back with my warm up before going out on the court."
Dick Simmonds
After going through the No Pains Big Gains system your lower back will be better prepared for the physcial challenges of tennis.

Knee Pain
This is maybe the #1 killer of tennis players after reading your stories.
"In 2014 I had a double cartilage op on right knee ( lateral and medial tear). Came back to tournaments after 6 weeks, and for the last 2 years I have been playing at a consistently high standard ( over 55 men's county team doubles). Unfortunately during club championships in September I injured the same knee again, and it hasn't responded to muscle conditioning"
Simon Coom
"My number one challenge is to be able to play tennis and not have knee pain. Currently undergoing physical therapy to build up the muscle in the hips and hammies, and hopefully avoid surgery. Thanks for the sensible approach you have provided!!"
Larry Weidman

Wrist and Elbow Injuries
The wrist and elbow are usually not on the top priority of most people's workout list!
But in NO Pains Big Gains it is front and center because we understand how devastating these injuries are for tennis players.
The wrist and elbow have sidelined pros and recreational players for months at a time.
Just today another comment came from a member saying the he could not lift up coffee.
"TENNIS ELBOW. IT KEPT ME OFF THE COURT FOR 2 MONTHS I CAN NOT HOLD A CUP OF COFFEE"
Robert Karolkiewicz
How to live a Pain Free Life in 2017!
By Matt Bradshaw
People all over the world are experiencing pain, tightness and loss of mobility especially as they get older and perform repetitive motions like typing/mousing or spending several hours everyday sitting down. People who play tennis are experiencing these pains at an accelerated rate due to the repetitive nature of the sport. We know tennis is great for your heart health but if can be bad for your joints if you don't have the strength, flexibility and mobility required to stand up to the pounding of tennis... (especially on the hard courts...)
The good news... it's still possible to develop that strength, flexibility and mobility even as we get older! Not just to play tennis more often and without pain but to enjoy life in general more often and without pain. I'm Matt Bradshaw and I have over 12 years of experience in tennis and I'm a certified "Tennis Performance Trainer" with the ITPA (International Tennis Performance Association.) I know what it feels like to quit tennis temporarily to recover from an injury or to give up playing for a week waiting for the pain to go away from years of playing experience. I also know what it takes to strengthen my body to get in the shape you need to be in to play pain free, to move better and to hit the ball harder while recovering faster point after point, match after match.
Pete and I are unique compared to other online tennis instructors and fitness gurus because we live this stuff on the court EVERYDAY! Teaching tennis to young and old while working on their fitness so they can keep playing tennis well and without pain.
There are so many problems out there for tennis players and I know that some of you are really hurting and missing out on a lot of tennis. I know the feeling... watching tennis on tv... doing shadow strokes on the sofa... and just wishing I could go back out there. I know what it's like to watch a ball go past me for a winner when I know if I didn't hurt so bad I could easily have gotten to it.
Do you know the feeling of...
- Hitting a patty cake serve instead of a real one because your shoulder is killing you?
- Going for a winner when you know it's not the right ball only because you know you're getting too tired to chase down another shot
- Telling your friends you are a game time decision because you are waiting to see how the lingering pain will feel in a couple of days.
- Quitting mid season in your league tennis
I've been there... and I've figured out the solution. It's called NO PAINS BIG GAINS
My program is designed for tennis players of all ages and just incase you are too banged up to get through my program, I designed additional workouts for people with TOO MUCH PAIN to build up a foundation to work off of. I'm so confident that No Pains Big Gains will get you feeling the best your ever have that is comes with a LIFETIME FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
People are talking. We know we really struck a nerve with the No Pains Big Gains Free Training Series and we are just getting started!!!

Pete and Matt,
Thanks for this video - loved it. It's great to be able to see the demo of how these exercises should be done. My #1 fitness challenge is being able to last through a long rally, basically being able to cover the court from right to left, front to back... against those really consistent players who just get everything back...

Thanks!,

Pete and Matt,
"This is the best series of tennis related fitness videos I've ever seen. Thanks so much for making these.. I can hardly wait for each one... and for info on how much the whole program costs... Best insight so far... for me... was that running is "training to be slow" ... Hilarious... and true..."
Thanks!,

Hi Peter and Matt,
"Great video, guys. To answer your question my biggest obstacle to getting more fit for tennis is turning desire into action. I know what I should be doing before, during and after playing but I can't seem to make my resolve strong enough to actually do it"

Here are your BIG 2017 Goals....Let's HAVE FUN and accomplish them together!

Carol Miller
"I would consider 2k17 a success from a physical health perspective if I was injury free all year, progressed in my game, felt in top physical shape to play, and stayed the same weight all year."
I started playing tennis at 49, my goal is to get skilled enough to play when I am in my 70's and beyond. My footwork is a little slow, I don't turn quick enough. Also, just tennis specific fitness. I stop working out during tennis season because I am playing 3-4 times a week and feel I need the recovery.
I am 54 and live in a cold climate and don't get to play much over the winter. A maintenance routine would be great

Allen White
"Most of those goals are interconnected for me. If I lose some weight, my knees and and ankles will stop screaming at me, and it's only common sense that if I drop thirty or forty pounds I'll be not only faster, but quicker, too."
The only thing between me and my goals is that big "L" in this third video. I'm hoping lose the laziness and replace it with motivation. Thanks, guys. This is a great place to start!"

Evelyn Werbanweth
"Flexibility and upper body strength. Never stretched when younger. Just recovered from a piriformis injury that lingered for 10 months. My goal is to improve flexibility and strength this year. Also as I've gotten older, 57 now, my joints start hurting after 2 hours of play. My right knee especially. I notice this when walking or running also, once I hit the 2 mile mark knee starts hurting. This impacts my tennis game since I tend to go 3 sets and matches usually last 3 hours I play on hard courts typically and play both doubles and singles. Recently my right elbow hurts, but hasn't stopped me from playing tennis yet I want to address that issue before it sidelines me. I love your instruction videos and am excited about the direction your new series is headed."

Connie Younger
"My #1 fitness challenge is developing explosiveness--in the first step towards the ball, while maintaining balance.
My friends have been encouraging me to do speed drills (sprints) on the courts. This hurts my knees; I am just shy of 60 years old. I have started playing singles and have been doing o.k., but I know that some of the frustration during the rallies is that I couldn't get into position soon enough--always 1/2 to a whole step late. grrr...
Thanks for a very intelligent approach to developing better fitness for tennis while saving my "maturing" body!"
